I'm a data scientist at Govini, a defense tech startup developing software to solve logistics and sustainment problems for the Department of Defense. Before Govini I briefly completed a stint as a Presidential Management Fellow and data scientist at the Army Transportation Command. I've worked on projects ranging from dashboards to time series forecasting with neural networks to end-to-end deep reinforcement learning models and environments. In a past life, I was also an IT specialist in the US Army and when I'm not using Python or SQL at work I enjoy writing code in Julia.
- MS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from the University of Chicago
- AB in Government from Dartmouth College
Outside of work, I also write and maintain some Julia packages, work out, play disc golf, and occaionally write about organized violence and international security, which you can read about here. When I have time, I also like to travel and have spent an extensive amount of time living and traveling in Latin America.
