Summary of Changes

Hello @annajowang, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request focuses on a routine maintenance update for the firebase-ecommerce Next.js starter project. It upgrades the Next.js framework to its latest patch version, aiming to incorporate recent bug fixes, security patches, and minor enhancements without introducing breaking changes. This ensures the project remains current and stable with the evolving Next.js ecosystem.

Highlights

  • Next.js Version Update: The core Next.js dependency has been updated from version 15.1.0 to 15.1.9 in the firebase-ecommerce starter project.
  • Dependency Lock File Synchronization: The pnpm-lock.yaml file has been updated to reflect the new Next.js version, including its associated @next/env and platform-specific @next/swc-* packages, ensuring consistent dependency resolution.

Code Review

This pull request updates the next dependency from version 15.1.0 to 15.1.9, which is reflected in package.json and the lockfile. While this is a good update, I've noticed that the related eslint-config-next dev dependency was not updated. To maintain compatibility and ensure correct linting, it's important to keep this package version aligned with the next package version. Please see my detailed comment in the review.
