Create an App Update

1. Create a Play Store Account.

Google Play Console enables developers to easily publish and distribute their applications directly to users of Android-compatible phones. Here's an overview of why you should use it.

Some hints:

Default privacy policy is stored at: For Content Rating:

  • App Category: Utility, Production, Communication or Other.
  • Answer NO to all questions except shares user location.
  • Rating should be everyone/3+ Language Translation for Swahili can be added:
  • Go to Store Listing
  • Click on Manage Translations in top Right corner.
  • Add Swahili-sw

2. Generate Signing Configs.

We recommend using Google Play App Signing. To do so:

  1. Create an upload key.

3. Create an apk.

update versionNumber create signed apk Build > Generate Signed APK...

4. Upload app to Play Store ALPHA Channel.

5. Verify everything works as expected.

7. Push app to production.
