Project request: Make a Chanterelle Hunting Site with aggregate data #2

Suggestion I made for something I'd like to create in a homework assignment for CS 300.
Correlate rainfall, slope, elevation, time of year, etc.
This might be fine as a postgres db, or it might work better in code, not sure yet.
Might be fun to see what open datasources are out there to pull from, figure out how to aggregate them, and then see which front-end makes the most sense for display.
also of note: might be able to get some of the data points to use in the algorithm from soil moisture sensors based on rainfall in my area to determine effect weather (ie sun, wind, etc) has on vegetative areas for removing moisture from the soil after the initial rain falls.
