First of all, thank you so, so much for making this classic program compatible with Windows 10/11 ❤️ WinFile goes a massive step beyond the modern "Snap Windows" feature, which doesn't take into account that you still get the full UI for each File Manager window you have on screen. All that extra bulk takes up precious space, making the native file manager less usable the more instances you have open on screen. This is especially frustrating on smaller laptops. But WinFile allows me to do large-scale file organization across multiple folders in a single window, owing much to its clean, lightweight UI and window tiling/cascading. Not even the most advanced free file managers I've tried are even remotely as capable and compact.
One thing I'd love to see is an optional skin to make WinFile look exactly like it did in Windows 3.1, overriding the default Windows 10/11 title bar, minimize/maximize/close buttons, and the top-left menu button. Just a nice little touch of nostalgia.
I know this next idea is probably really far-fetched, since you're (naturally) focused on developing WinFile for Windows, but I would absolutely ADORE a port of this for Android. As a File Hoarder Supreme, organizing all the files on my phone is tedious and frustrating. If only I had WinFile! If it's any incentive, I'd even be willing to PAY for an Android version--and I very, very rarely say that! I understand if this isn't feasible though, honestly I'd be ecstatic just to get the classic 3.1 skin 😂
Anyway, tysm for taking the time to read my post! Can't wait to see what comes next for WinFile :3 Keep it up--your work is amazing and much appreciated 💖
