Feature request: Customizable USB Identifier for Virtual Media

Hello,

I would like to suggest a potential enhancement for GLKVM Virtual Media:

Currently, when mounting Virtual Media (USB Mass Storage), the device is always identified on the host as GLKVM / GL.iNet.

In certain enterprise or security-sensitive environments, having the option to choose a generic USB identifier for Virtual Media could improve compatibility:

• Systems with strict USB identifiers lists
• Software that flags non-generic USB storage devices

Suggested feature:

• An option to customize or select the USB identifier (Vendor ID / Product ID) for Virtual Media
• Optionally allow a choice between:
  • “GLKVM identifiable mode” (current behavior)
  • “Generic USB Mass Storage mode”

This is just a suggestion, and I fully understand that it can be considered or implemented at your convenience.
I appreciate your time and effort on GLKVM development.

In version 1.8, it can be configured via commands, and in version 1.9, it should be configurable on the web.
