Description
Hi,
the staff member called "bruce mentioned in https://forum.gl-inet.com/t/backup-usb-lte-connection-advise-needed/44113/2 some USB stick models (e.g. the ZTE models) that are not yet on the documentation page as compatible modems. On the other hand, some of the mentioned Modems on the documentation page are apparently not available anymore (e.g. Huawei E3276, ZTE MF823), at least in europe.
It would be great if you could update the list of supported modems.
Additionally, 3G is in the process of being sunsetted worldwide (See the list on e.g. onomondo.com) and it might be a good idea to phase those out in the table as well.
Last but not least: Could you add an indicator in the table what kind of device you are specifying (maybe as replacement for the "Tested" column as this is always "Yes")? E.g. the Quectel devices being pure "modules" that is installed on different platforms while the ZTE M823 product names for the USB dongles themselves.
Maybe Something like:
| Model | 3G/4G | Type | Tested by | Comments* |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quectel EC20-E, EC20-A, EC20-C | 4G | Module | GL.iNet | |
| ZTE M823 | 4G | USB Dongle | GL.iNet |
