Missing protocol for SMTP server

Current documentation suggest that you can set up the protocol for the SMTP server, ( which would be great because my smtp server does not support either TLS nor SSL and that seams to the be the default), however in practice this is missing from the UI, also it does not specify the valid options available for this value.
The API (/cgi-bin/api/modem/sms/account) does not validate any of the options passed in when I tried to guess manually the protocol as none, plaintext, etc neither of which worked, please update the documentation to describe how use non encrypted smtp servers.
Alternatively aside the text and e-mail fw a simple webhook api would be magical.

Hey @linmq thanks for the question 🦆 , a fw upgrade solved the protocol part, however as authentication isn't available either I will have to look for alternatives, things I considered so far are, smtp-to-smtp-relay in from of the smtp--to-gotify-relay, and just simply giving up on push, and just script a pull version where I talk from a script to the rpc directly, just need to reverse engineer the login and the sms check functions, and set up a reasonable schedule for the pull... unless a 3rd option for redirects show up ( webhook ) wink wink develop it pretty please.

One more Q, which is more tightly related to the documentation itself, are the text messages kept on the device if the fw is set up, aka is it a copy or redirect, I could not test it yet as neither sms nor smpt is available for me just yet.

At this point this is very much off topic but ...A recommendation for an easier option, ( although webhooks are also would work just fine too)
Apprise offers a wide range of protocols and easy install and configuration options, all needed is less then 2MB of space, and a config option, and it even support webhook type delivery, you can even update the mail deliver to use this instead, and many more, can you help me to raise this feature request at the right place to make it happen ?
( btw it has BSD-2-Clause license so that shouldn't be an issue either )

For others who are in a similar shoes. from the advance settings you can enable ssh and once logged in the /etc/forward shell script is the one taking care of the fw, while I didn't add it to the gui, I set it up in that shell to send it over to gotify with a simple curl post command.
