Smokeview shows all legends to 0

Hello,

I am a new user to CFast. I've installed it and ran some test models (thanks to all for debugging my previous problem due to decimal separator!!) but I can't visualise the results properly in smokeview.

For any slice that I create, SMV shows a uniform color slice, and the legend ranges to 0 from... 0 as if there were no data to show, although the case are simulated properly (from what I can see in the .csv files).

I also work with FDS, and surprisingly, SMV now does the same when showing the slice files (from former works).

Would anyone have an idea how to resolve this?

I don't see a fire in your input file. open your case with cedit, then click on the fire tab. what do you see?

There is no fire set in the model. I would like to use Cfast for natural ventilation analysis..

I don't understand your question then. If there is no fire there wont be a temperature rise. What were you expecting to see?

The interior temperature is set to 30°C, outside temperature to 0°C. I am expecting to see the temperature decrease in the room. Also I wanted to calculate the flowrate. This is a very simple test case, just to see how Cfast works.

My main issue now is that installing SMV with Cfast sort of wrecked SMV for my FDS cases also..

Rerun the installer you used to install fds and smokeview or go to the smv github repo and pick a smokeview release and install it. This should replace the smokeview installed with the cfast installer

smokeview does not support files with embedded blanks. remove blanks from your file name (perhaps changing blanks to underscores _ and rerun your case. it should work.

@preneke please update cedit to prevent users from naming input files with embedded blanks. think that is a really bad idea
