I cannot replicate this.
Do you have the allow_multiple_emails setting_name in the modx_system_settings table?
Also maybe clear cache?

Ok, i found it. It seems that all my Evo1.4.3.5 have this option not "checked" in System Settings. Selecting one of the two options, the problem disappears (array was empty, so it caused the error in PHP8)
It probably happened during some version update, but i don't remember when this option for duplicate mails was added.

2018 was when duplicate emails option was added. But if you had not saved the system settings at or after then that may well have been the issue.

Are very old websites, which have always been updated with each new version.
As you can see from the screenshot, there is no default value set, so you can save the settings even hundreds of times, but nothing will change :)

Ah yes, once the setting exists in the database with no value then it will need selecting manually.
I have found the issue for a fresh install or upgrading from before the setting existed and set a default value.... but it will not fix your situation once it is added to the database with a null value.

Curiously, on all the sites I migrated from 1.4x to 3.x, the option is selected.
However, since the solution is simply to select the option in the settings, the issue can be closed ;)
