[Feature Request] Reading Kodi-generated album.nfo metadata

Hi,

I have just switched my Plex library to LMS, and I'm trying to replicate some missing features in Symfonium, particularly the Artist and Album info that Plex scrapes from sources. I found that Kodi is able to do a full library export of Artist and Album nfo files in a directory structure. It seems that LMS was able to read all the artist.nfo files and is showing up perfectly in Symfonium, but none of the album.nfo was read. Could this be implemented in the future? Particularly useful are the mood/style/genre tags that Kodi scrapes from Allmusic, as Musicbrainz's genre information is much less complete.

I’ll think about it. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple because:

• the tags are stored at the track level, so we need to make sure they’re properly propagated and that updates to the NFO file are handled correctly
• libraries are scanned in a single pass. This means that these NFO files may be scanned before, during, or after the album they relate to. We need to properly handle all of this to override the relevant fields correctly

I don't think mood or style are supported by OpenSubsonic, so that's another hurdle.
