Missing variable show-node-info-in-minibuffer

I used to enjoy this behavior which disappeared all of a sudden. I have only recently started investigating the cause which led me to the discovery of the supposed existence of the variable `show-node-info-in-minibuffer`. But I have tried to search for it and cannot find any mention of it within the ecb sources. So I am raising it as an issue to draw attention to it.
