Does your tool support analysis of longitudinal data? If so, should I explicitly define a random effect for the IID/FID in the model formula, or is this accounted for automatically?

Hi, thanks for your interest!
flexlmm models genetic relatedness as a random effect to account for population structure and it is not directly designed for longitudinal data, but we may be interested in implementing this. At the moment the formula interface is only for the fixed effects. If you are happy to share some details of your usecase we can try to see if we can make it work for you.

I have longitudinal data with outcomes measured over time. The number of observations per individual varies. I also prefer to include a random slope for time and an interaction between time and variants.
