missing license

The code you derived from derived from another github repo that did have an MIT license.

The person's repo you worked from didn't have it listed either so it's easy to see how it got missed.

I don't see that you are active on github in the last years with this account but since I was forking this and got it to work with my atmega forth and nodeMCU python repls I thought I'd get mine with the original license and let you know.

All the best and thanks for the great examples of the C bindings for Lua. They have been really really helpful as a learning tool.

Wow this is an old repo of mine! You're right I don't use this account anymore, but I'm glad you've found the code useful and for the heads up about the licence.

It has indeed been very helpful.

I do apologize about the errant PR. I wasn't paying attention and just meant to create it against my main to use as a starting point and have been trying to force myself to use better practices instead of just pushing directly to main. I appears that github has gotten more aggressive with trying to "help". I've been using codeberg more than here lately and didn't even notice the push to-from indicator the first time through.

I just need to figure out how to manage the comparability shim or whatever for the later versions of Lua. I am glad u left this repo discoverable though. It was the only one of it's kind that I could find that had working Lua bindings and the only real issue I had was the baud integer vs the c macro for the baud bitfields. Once I added that in it pretty much "just worked" with the few devices I've tried so far.
