cannot acquire TAP handle

Hello. First of all sorry because I'm not actually in the topic.

I'm trying to install TAP adapter on Windows 10 AMD64.

I'm trying to install it with this command:
tapinstall.exe install OemVista.inf tap0901

And I'm getting an error "cannot acquire TAP handle".

All the files are in the tap.zip.

After I installed the openvpn from https://openvpn.net/community-downloads/ the error is not happen anymore. But during installation I had an error: "OpenVPNMSICA: get_net_adapter_guid: SetupDiOpenDevRegKey failed Error -536870396". I clicked "OK" for several times and installation finished successfully.

I do not need to force user to install openvpn manually. What the issue can be? Please, help. Thank you in regards.

Did you run the command in an Admin cmdline?
