Not all buttons recognised

Hello

I got my Spacemouse replaced with the same model an now i have the same problem again.
It doen's matter if i connect with bluetooth or cable.

Last time it was this issue and i tried the same steps again.
Did not help.
The mouse itself works. But not all buttons like the last time.

Can you help me again please?

Well that's clearly not the same as the other time. Now you're connecting it through a TP-link bluetooth adapter, so the button remapping hack doesn't work. It expects the 3Dconnexion dongle.

Do they no longer supply a dongle with their devices? Also you mentioned that the same problem persists even when connected with a USB cable, can you also send me the log file and USB device ids when you do that?

Yes. You're right. I connect it with bluetooth. But not because it's funny.
The dongle that they send does not connect properly. But in the ffew seconds it works all button where recognised.
The connection breaks every few seconds. With bluetooth the connection is stable.
That was the reason i sent my old device back for warranty. Then i received a new one that has the exact same connection problems.
Then i thought i try bluetooth. This connection is stable. But it has the button problem.

I connected it now with cable and hit button 26. The log file is attached. Exact the same message as the last time.

I guess it's not possible with bluetooth. But i would be very happy if this would work.
Otherwise if it works only with cable it's better than nothing. So i guess i should be fine with this.

Edit: I cant't pait it again with the 3d connexion dongle before monday. For this i need the windows driver. So i have to do this at work. I have no windows pc at home.

Well that's part of the problem. That's a new device ID, it's not on the list. I'll add it as a spacemouse pro, and at the very least that will make it work properly when connected wired. Then I'll see if I can improve the detection algorithm to work for the bluetooth case too.

try the latest spacenavd revision from git and let me know if the buttons are correct now when the device is connected over USB

Glad to hear it. I'll leave this open until I get around to attempt a fix for the bluetooth case too, and I'll ping you to give it a test when that happens.

I've never set up any of those sponsor, koffee, or whatever things because to be honest I feel a bit weird asking strangers for money for what's really a hobby project that I very occasionally improve slightly. If you look at the diff of the last spacenavd commit, I just added a new row by copying the existing "spacemouse pro wireless" entry of the usbdb table in src/dev.c and changed the USB id to the new one, and the comment to say it's the "BT" version.

Also for future reference, these kinds of issues really belong to the spacenavd bug tracker, not the spnavcfg one.
